Artist Statement

Science brightens our world, yet I wish ghosts and folklore creatures were real. Inspired by the Law of entropy, I imagine ghosts as scattered fragments that briefly gather when we tell stories. Popular tales let them take new shapes through our imagination. But two questions remain: if talking summons them, how could they endure endless attention? In flat works, I reimagine them as playful, colorful beings made of wax, freed as candles that used for ritual melt. And what of forgotten ghosts—do they vanish like extinct animals? My sculpture- series recall them by fusing discarded furniture with hands, feet, or tentacles. These hybrids embody both spirit and object, adapting into strange new forms of afterlife.
