„A corcerned art lover“ is a processual work that communicates between the artist and the chosen institutions all around Europe. The BERG, whilst in his process of finding various methods on space-artist correlations, decided to contact 150 institutions in 44 countries under an anonymous letter. As the letter indicates the wishes of a basic demand of a gallery visitor, it also requires a certain feedback from these formations.
Artist Statement
Born as Berk Tuncer, Istanbul *1998,has commenced his studies in Munich after dropping out of visual communication design in Istanbul to continue with professors such as Olaf Metzel, Julius von Bismarck and Peter Kogler. The BERG’s work is grounded in conceptual rigour, often engaging directly with the architecture and conditions of the spaces he inhabits. His installations and interventions are not merely placed in a gallery—they interrogate it, transforming the environment into a site of reflection and provocation. The works situate themselves around the artist’s image, space, procedure and the public itself. The BERG takes each work as an analytic research to form various series to reassure himself in the process of examining the most crucial dimension of his practise: The artist and the public.
