Project Funding

Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich are organized into classes. There are currently 25 classes in total (as of 2020), each led by a professor. And they all have a very individual approach to the fine arts. There are also twenty excellently equipped study workshops available. There is also a library and numerous seminars and lectures in art history, philosophy and didactics.

Since its founding, the Academy Association has set itself the goal of supporting the students of the Munich Academy. What is particularly important to us is the support and promotion of projects – usually across classes. Since 1983, project funding has been our core and our most important main task. Between 1983 and 2013, we were able to distribute €600,000 for project funding in accordance with Section 2 of the statutes.

Three times a year, students at the Munich Academy can submit their requests for support for their project plans.
