Ilinca Fechete’s epistemological reflections in photography, film, virtual, and text-based new media, inform her metaphysically poetic spatial installations and lens-based practice with a decidedly site-specific approach. Her works are deontological readings from geo-political intersections that accumulate traces, thresholds, and liminal folds related to reflections of forced displacement across geographies, the mediation of technological advancement in social and political roles of production and identification, and conceptual methods of repositioning spatial rhetoric and grammar – traversing the architectural, semantic, photographic, virtual, and potential nodes (negotiations) of the underlying conditions for the exhibition, presentation, and representation of artistic production.
